Focused 10 week treatment blocks for people with anxiety including; OCD, panic, worry, phobias and social anxiety.
Hi, I’m Mark, and at the Intensive Treatment Clinic for Anxiety we specialise in treating adults who suffer with anxiety issues.

Who we treat
If you are looking at this website, then there is a good chance you know just how debilitating anxiety can be, whether it comes in the form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), panic attacks, excessive worry, social anxiety or phobias (or a combination of these).
We treat adults whose anxiety is having an impact on their everyday lives – whether it has been longstanding, or a more recent occurrence for them.
If you are able to attend weekly (individual) therapy sessions over a 10 week period, and are willing to undertake some activities at home (that have been discussed and tailored to you in the sessions), then treatment with ITCA might be right for you.

Understanding anxiety (and why seeking treatment can be so hard!)
There are things that people often don’t understand about anxiety and that can make seeking treatment difficult. For some anxiety sufferer’s, there is the strong, fear that their (seemingly) uncontrollable anxiety is a sign they are weak or that they might be losing their minds! Others worry about why they keep having very frequent and disturbing intrusive thoughts that go against the very core of their values, and that keep happening despite their best efforts to stop them. They worry that they might lose control and actually harm someone. Others worry how they will ever feel confident or be able to relate well to people when they constantly feel socially awkward and judged by others. And others worry about why panic attacks keep coming ‘out of the blue’ and scaring the life out of them – making them feel they are walking on the very edge of sanity.
It can be hard to talk about these things to a professional.
However, modern Psychology has a much better understanding or the causes and mechananisms that underlie many anxiety issues. Despite people’s fears, it is very rare that anxiety leads to a true ‘loss of control’ or ‘going crazy’. If you feel these things then you are definitely not alone and some good treatments are now available to help.
